    A lot of beautiful sandy beaches, that are kilometres long, are located in the area. The sea at some of them is very shallow, therefore ideal for small children.

    The area around Prinos has been a popular destination for tourists for decades.   Hotels, apartments and rooms to let, restaurants, taverns, super markets, entertainment possibilities, cultural events, leisure time activities etc. are available in this part of the island.  Prinos lies between the south-western and the north-eastern side of Thassos, where some of the best beaches of the island are hosted.

    Prinos is a lively village throughout the whole year.  Its population is 1.500 permanent residents. The village features shops, medical center, school and weekly open market, therefore accommodation in the " Oikies" complex is possible throughout the whole year.  The complex lies at the edge of the village, at a particularly quiet area, with very easy access from the island` s main road.

    All the buildings in " Oikies" are distinguished by their aesthetics and their architectural design that match the traditional style of the island.
